Fourteen trees were removed in Ashton Park in Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston during Wednesday afternoon.
The trees were identified as diseased by Preston City Council’s park team and were said to pose a ‘significant risk’.
In a video sent to Blog Preston, a large tree, close to the main road was seen to be cut down.

A spokesperson for Preston City Council said: “Fourteen trees on Ashton Park have been identified as being diseased and are being removed.
“The trees were close to main roads, pathways and property and posed a significant risk.”
