Rachel East, Director of Advice and Adviser services at Key Group, said: “This is the third trek we have done as a business to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society, and it was by far the most challenging of the mind and body.
“It was a fantastic day and I’m already excited about next year’s event. The different initiatives the volunteers did to raise money for the charity were outstanding, everything from barista for the day to bake sales. Each person that took part this year went the extra mile, pushing themselves well beyond their comfort zones and we are so proud of each and every one of them. Working with Jade Trafford from the Alzheimer’s Society makes all the difference, so thank you, Jade.”
Across Lancashire and South Cumbria, there are said to be more than 23,000 people living with dementia.
Jade Trafford Alzheimer’s Society, Regional Fundraiser said: “We are so grateful that Key Group has continued to support Alzheimer’s Society. Each hour people generously give to fundraise for us, every event they take part in, every pound they donate, they’re making a life-changing difference to people living with dementia.
“Alzheimer’s Society provides vital support to people living with dementia, funds groundbreaking research and campaigns to make dementia the priority it should be. Together, we will end the devastation caused by dementia.”
Key Group are later life lending experts aiming to help people finance a better retirement.
