Man charged with attempted murder and multiple arrests after Ingol stabbing at garage forecourt

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in Preston at the weekend.

Police were called to the BP garage on Tag Lane in Ingol at 1.59am on Sunday (29 September) to a report of an assault.

A man in his 40s was found with stab wounds and taken to hospital. The garage was cordoned off by Lancashire Constabulary for much of Sunday.

Qusai Abdalla, 25, of Tag Croft, Ingol, has now been charged with attempted murder. He has been remanded to appear before Preston Magistrates’ Court today (1 October).

A 39-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm, has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A 24-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, have been bailed.

A 24-year-old man is currently in custody after being arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and for any CCTV/dashcam footage from the Tag Lane area around the time it happened.
