Jay-Z is one of the most popular rappers of all time, and also has been very involved in sports during his career.

His company, Roc Nation, has been partnered with the NFL since 2019, and that partnership has been extended further.

“NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said the league would continue to work with Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter’s Roc Nation to produce the Super Bowl halftime show,” Bloomberg reported.

Many fans shared their excitement about the news, but one of the biggest names to react was NBA Hall of Famer Magic Johnson.

“Congratulations and job well done to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Jay-Z and his company Roc Nation on extending their partnership deal for the Super Bowl Halftime show!” he wrote on X.

The Super Bowl halftime shows have been a smash success the past few years, and the NFL is looking to maintain that popularity.

NFL fans are glad the shows are going to stay the same as well, and shared their excitement on social media.

“Yes! Some of the absolute best shows I’ve ever had a chance to photograph. Love this partnership,” one fan said.

“Game recognize game!! CONGRATULATIONS,” another fan said.

“Awesome,” a third fan said.

“Took the words out of my mouth,” a fourth fan said.

“Jay-Z the greatest rapper of all time,” a fifth fan said.

Kendrick Lamar is set to headline the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show.

He has taken the stage at a previous Super Bowl, performing in 2022 alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and 50 Cent.

Fans were thrilled to hear of Lamar’s gig at the Super Bowl, but some shared who they wanted instead.

London calling

The New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings kick off the NFL's annual run of London fixtures.

New York and Minnesota face off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday October 6 at 2.30pm local time – 9.30am ET for fans back home in America.

It is the first of three straight NFL Sundays that begin with an early game live from London.

The following week, Tottenham also plays host to the Jacksonville Jaguars against the Chicago Bears.

And on October 20, the Jags will head across town to Wembley Stadium to take on the New England Patriots.
