NFL fans think Patrick Mahomes is a new curse for major sports teams.
Mahomes was present at a Kansas City Royals game during the playoffs, and they lost every game after his presence.

Fans have created a conspiracy that Patrick Mahomes is a new bad luck charm in the world of pro sports.
Previously, fans gave that label to rap artist Drake, as teams he supports or bets on seem to lose after he endorses them.
The Toronto Raptors seemingly broke that curse when they won the NBA Championship with Drake in the building in 2019.
However, it appeared that the curse remained as many of the high-value bets Drake made went on to lose after he posted them on social media.
The Drake curse appears to have found a new host though, as Mahomes has caused the New York Yankees to go on an unstoppable run.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback was seen antagonizing a Yankees fan after the Royals won game two of the American League Divisional series.
However, Mahomes appears to have done more damage to his team than to the Yankees, as New York is 4-0 since that moment.
The Bronx Bombers won the next two games of their series against the Royals to move on to the American League Championship series, and have won the first two games of that series against the Cleveland Guardians.
NFL and MLB fans believe the Yankees’ special run is in relation to Mahomes’ viral moment, and shared their conspiracies on social media.
“Mahomes and Drake alike?” one fan said.
“4-0 since the fix went in,” another fan said.
“Yet another reason to not like Mahomes,” a third fan said.
“I was rooting for KC until I saw this,” a fourth fan said.
If Mahomes truly is cursed, it would be bad news for the Royals as he is a part owner of the team.
The Chiefs quarterback purchased a stake in the team in 2020 to “deepen” his roots in Kansas City.

“I’m honored to become a part-owner of the Kansas City Royals,” Mahomes said in a statement.
“I love this city and the people of this great town.
“This opportunity allows me to deepen my roots in this community, which is something I’m excited to do.”
This season was the Royals’ first playoff appearance since Mahomes purchased a stake in the team, so things are trending upwards.
Also, it would be hard for Mahomes to win two Super Bowls in a row if he was cursed.
