A Preston-based charity which supports different groups through garden activities has been awarded over £127,000 for a new project.
Rosemary and Time were given the funds for their ‘In This Together’ projects, which will help with the cost of running dementia-friendly groups over the next three years.
It also means they will be able to continue to run their dementia-friendly gardening group in Longridge Library, a young onset dementia café in Broughton’s Toll Bar Cottage Café and their ‘Friday Friends’ group in Grimsargh Village Hall.

Rosemary and Time plan to create new groups with the money, which was awarded through National Lottery funding.
Donna Rowe-Green, founder and director said: “We are so thrilled and grateful to the players of the National Lottery. This money will enable us to support even more people in our community who are affected by dementia.
“Our new groups are built on the popularity of some of the activities we already deliver on a smaller scale. We will have regular dementia-friendly seated exercise classes and a new singing group for both those living with dementia and our wider older community. In addition, we will be starting an accessible walking group.”

The charity was formed in 2019 and has been growing ever since, despite the tight budget.
The money now means they will be able to continue growing and offering support to the whole community.
Donna added: “It is so lovely to be able to be able to offer our services with the confidence that we will be here for as long as people need us. We would really like to say thank you to all of those who have supported us over the last few years, and to the National Lottery who are making this next exciting chapter possible.”
