Victoria's ferocious storms have turned deadly with a man killed, after a large gumtree fell on his tent in the high country.
It comes after destructive winds and heavy rain pummelled the state, following warnings the weather's force could be life-threatening.
The 27-year-old man from Bayles was crushed in dense bushland 170 kilometres north-east of Melbourne, in the Shire of Mansfield.

Police said the large tree had fallen at a campground near Eildon Jamieson Road in the town of Kevington at about 3am and he died at the scene.
Officers said the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
The impact of this intense system was felt far and wide, in suburbs and towns across the state.
The heavy downpour turned lanes into lakes in Lilydale, trapping cars and buses as water came gushing through the doors.
Outside Tim Aumann's brewery, the flash flooding was over a metre deep.
"Police had closed this road, the roundabout was completely covered, SES had come, a drain hole removed itself and a car fell in it. It was kinda scary," he said.
In Geelong, streets were submerged after 50 millimetres of rain fell in just 45 minutes.
While Chemist Warehouse at Chirnside Park shopping centre became a water feature.
Since Friday morning, the SES have responded to 659 calls for help, including 12 water rescues, flooding and trees down.
The cleanup from that will take some time but reassuringly, the worst is now behind us.
"We're moving into a much settled string of weather from this weekend onwards," Angus Hines from the Bureau of Meteorology said.
