A new charity megastore is set to open in a former Preston city centre supermarket.

Aldi left the unit at the Corporation Street mini retail park earlier this year.

Now British Heart Foundation has tabled proposals to convert the unit into a new home and fashion store.

A planning application has been lodged asking for permission for new signage for the store and a donation point sign in the red and white of the charity.

The charity currently has a shop in nearby Friargate.

Blog Preston contacted the British Heart Foundation who said they were in the early stages of their plans and would be commenting further in the coming months with more information.
