Drivers are being warned to avoid delays by setting off early and checking road conditions ahead of a fog warning landing in the North West.
Preston, and the wider central Lancashire area, is subject to a yellow weather warning for fog from the Met Office tomorrow morning (28 November).
The warning states that patches of fog will become widespread overnight and this could result in difficult driving conditions, as well as delays to public transport.

The warning is in place from just after midnight until 10am.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “Patches of fog will continue to form overnight becoming more widespread later with the visibility in some places falling below 100 metres.
“With temperatures also below freezing, icy patches will be an additional hazard on untreated surfaces.
“Give yourself the best chance of avoiding delays by checking road conditions if driving, leaving extra journey time, or amending plans if necessary. Make sure you know how to switch on your fog lights, and check they are working before setting off on your journey”
