A former restaurant, bar and nightclub in the centre of Preston is being reopened.

What was Fives in Guildhall Street is to see all floors brought back into use as The Palace.

It’s been taken on by the team behind The Eastern Charm restaurant which is already operating in the basement of the grade-II listed building.

Across the three floors will be three separate venues with 7 Ounces, a high end restaurant on the ground floor.

Levantana Lounge opens on the second floor, branded as an ‘exclusive club’.

While the top floor becomes One Thousand and One Nights an event space and shisha bar.

The venue opens on Saturday (16 November) and guests include Jamie Jewitt from Love Island, the Mayor of Preston councillor Phil Crowe, boxer Natasha Jonas along with members of the Bhailok and Rigby families.

The new venues open from 1pm and entertainment includes an ‘outside DJ’, fireworks display, live music and a belly dancer performance at 9pm.

The building was previously owned by the late Simon Rigby and operated from 2017 to 2019 as a bar and nightclub.

It was listed for sale last year for nearly £1million.
