A man has died after a public place shooting in Sydney's inner city tonight.
Emergency services were called to Baptist Street Surry Hills, near Cleveland Street, following reports of shots fired at about 7.45pm.
On arrival NSW Police officers found a man, believed to be in his 30s, with a gunshot wound.

NSW Ambulance paramedics tried to treat him but the man died at the scene.
A short time later, emergency services were called to Kensington Road, Kensington, following reports of a car fire. Police arrived to find a Porsche well alight.
Initial inquires suggest the two incidents are linked.
A crime scene has been established as local detectives and members of the state homicide squad investigate the incident.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
