McDonald’s is giving Happy Meal purchasers two toys this holiday season.
In the new Pet Simulator Happy Meal, you will be able to find the double deal which has special intentions behind it.
The fast-food chain wants to encourage children to keep one of the toys and gift the other, which they say is the “perfect treat to spark the joy of giving”.
The double toy Happy Meal is launching on November 26 at participating restaurants worldwide.
The deal will be ending December 16 at the various restaurants nationwide while supplies last.
Kids can also make an unbelievable 18 different Pet Simulator toys themselves using holiday-inspired sticker sheets found within each Happy Meal.
Jennifer Healan, McDonald’s Vice President, U.S. Marketing, Brand, Content & Culture said: “We hope this special Happy Meal inspires kids to share during this season of giving.
“Sharing is such a big part of the McDonald’s ethos— whether it’s sharing your fries, your McNuggets or a McFlurry— and now we’re giving our youngest fans the opportunity to do that with their Happy Meal, too.
“This meal has two toys— one for you, and one for you to gift.”
And family psychology expert Dr. Jazmine McCoy explained: “From my experience with families, I’ve seen that children are naturally inclined to be generous.
“They just need gentle encouragement and positive reinforcement.
“The McDonald’s Pet Simulator Happy Meal gives parents and caregivers an easy and accessible way to nurture their childrens’ empathy and let them experience the true joy of giving during the holiday season.”
It comes a mere few days after McDonald’s fans expressed outrage that Grinch Happy Meals are not coming to the US – and a boycott has been launched.
The meals have launched in the UK and Canada, leading furious foodies to claim the chain has “betrayed the nation.”
The special holiday meals come with adorable Grinch plushies and a family card game.
But, it seems that Americans will have to go without them this festive season.
An enraged Facebook post has called for people in the US to stop eating there, with several hashtags to underline how angry she is.
The post from Brianna Marie Gordy reads: “McDonald’s Let me just get this straight. You give Canada the Grinch cups.
“You give the UK the Grinch Happy Meals…. What about the U.S?!?!
“How could you, McDonald’s? How could you betray this nation like that?!
“Like legit this is the story of “How McDonald’s Stole Grinchmas”. Honestly #BoycottMcdonalds because they’re legit trying to steal Christmas from the American peoples.”

Since the introduction of the circus-themed Happy Meal, many McDonald’s kid’s meals have been themed.
Over the years, the chain has collaborated with popular movies, TV shows, and characters to create themed kid’s meals that feature specific toys, packaging, and even special menu items.
