Donkey Kong Land is the Game Boy version of Donkey Kong Country, and even though it has different levels and bosses, it’s developed in the same style.

Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can now grab the critically acclaimed sequel, Donkey Kong Land 2.

Much like the original game in the series, Donkey Kong Land 2 is the portable version of an entry in the Donkey Kong Country series.

This one is based on Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest, and people are able to play as Dixie Kong.

Just two levels are borrowed from Diddy’s Kong Quest, and the other levels are remade and optimised for the small screen.

Like the original, Donkey Kong Land 2 is considered one of the best games on the Game Boy.

There are three games in the Donkey Kong Land series, and following these two Nintendo Switch Online releases, people think that Donkey Kong Land 3 will be added shortly.

If you want to play the two games currently available on Nintendo Switch Online, first you will need a subscription to the service.

Then you can download the Game Boy app via the Nintendo eShop on your console.

Once you have this downloaded, you can access Donkey Kong Land 2 through the app and start playing.

Nintendo Switch Online is one of the best subscription services, as a one-year subscription costs about the same as just one month of PS Plus Premium or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

It only includes older games – from the NES all the way up to the N64 – but Nintendo has such a strong classic library that it is incredible value.

Switch Online also has several benefits over the other subscription in that the price has never increased, and games are only added to the service and never removed.
