The M61 southbound is closed due to a crash.
The incident was first reported at around 10.55am this morning (10 December) with queueing traffic at junction 9 for Clayton Brook and the M65 as a result.
There are delays on approach extending back onto the M6 southbound with traffic being diverted via slip-roads.
