Two people are in custody after an 18-year-old recent high school graduate was killed in an alleged violent brawl in Melbourne's north-west last night.
More than 30 young people allegedly began fighting on McBurnie Drive in Kurunjang just after 7pm yesterday.
"It's just this time of year and hearing someone's final begging for their life, I guess, it's just horrible," neighbour Stacey Heaney said.

Neighbour Glenn Vines said:"The mother was hysterical. That was the worst part".
The Vines family told 9News one teen jumped their fence and pleaded for help.
"He said that a group of people jumped out of the car with machetes chasing him and his friends," neighbour Melissa Vines said.
"He was terrified, you could see the look in his eyes, he was scared."
Three men, aged 18, 15 and 22, were found injured when police arrived on scene.
The 18-year-old was unconscious. Police officers tried to revive him, but he was declared dead at the scene.
The 15-year-old and 22-year-old were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and are under police guard in hospital.

Investigators believe the people involved in the alleged brawl were known to each other.
Detectives are still trying to piece together the circumstances surrounding the death.
The victim's family consoled each other at the scene their loved one was fatally stabbed, with flowers placed in tribute to the young life lost.
"Really upset I just didn't sleep much at all last night. I was just feeling so sorry for them," neighbour Trish Vines said.
The victim's family told 9News he had recently graduated from high school and has lived on McBurnie Drive for several years.
Police are investigating the incident and urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to contact Crime Stoppers.
