Parents have described the terrifying moment they were allegedly threatened by a gun-wielding teenager in front of their children at a Melbourne park.

Father David Nahmias, mother Mercy Igot and a group of their friends and children saw it all.

“It was so traumatising,” Igot said.

She said the children started crying.

“We saw him with the black ski mask, say that he wanted to kill our party,” Nahmias said.

“It was like a movie, everything slowed down and I just saw danger.”

Hours later, boys aged 15 and 16 were handcuffed and thrown into the back of a police van.

They’re accused of targeting their first victim about 2pm yesterday.

They allegedly pulled over at a Skye bus stop and demanded a 16-year-old boy hand over his shoes and phone while threatening him with a machete.

Then, 15 minutes later, a woman was allegedly threatened with a gun in a Frankston North park.

Police tracked a Toyota Kluger to Frankston-Dandenong road where it had crashed.

The teens allegedly dumped the car and fled on foot before they were arrested at a paddock in Carrum Downs.

After being interviewed by detectives they were slapped with a string of charges, including driving and weapons offences and armed robbery.

They faced the children’s court late this afternoon.

A court heard one of the teens was already on two counts of bail.

He applied for bail again but the magistrate refused, declaring the allegations were “shocking, serious and incredibly dangerous”.
