A special retail hub has opened its doors in Longridge with a collective of independent businesses.
The Longridge Hub opened a couple of months ago and is located on Inglewhite Road, Longridge. It contains a group of small local businesses that hand make, design and craft various products and sell them under the one roof together.
There is also a raw dog food shop situated at the front and a small pet shop too.

Catherine Lawton, who runs Tweed Equinox, said they hoped the hub would not only drive footfall to the town, but also inspire others with a passion for crafting.
She said: “The majority of the businesses are new start ups and have decided to join the hub and work as a team to promote our passion for everything handmade and handcrafted. We aim to provide the public with quality handmade products whilst also supporting the crafting/sewing world and hopefully encouraging people to buy local and handmade as opposed to mass produced products.
“As small independent businesses we are all exceptionally keen to help and support each other as well as the local community and try to support the local shops generally in the area.
“We also aim to encourage and inspire other crafters/sewers and artists to keep crafting and start their own business or expand it and will always offer free advice on setup to them.”
The shops inside are:
Ribble Raw. Selling raw dog and cat food for people’s prized pets.
Jazzydots. It sells a selection of pet food, treats, gifts and accessories which are handmade products from high quality materials.
Absolute Enigma. Designer and maker of quirky curios gifts, accessories and homewares and also offers crafting workshops with various designers
North N Grit Jewellery. Designer and maker of resin jewellery using sand from a northern-based supplier.
Angel Gifts/GG’S. A registered charity which has just launched a new project at Longridge hub, GG’S Community Craft Space. They are keen to promote awareness of the charity in a sensitive manner by facilitating free craft sessions suitable for all ages and abilities.
Tweed Equinox. Offering tweed, tartan and country themed garments, tailoring, gifts, homewares and one-off pieces of re-upholstered furniture. Catherine says she is always happy to offer help to any sewers/knitters that may be struggling with their own makes and a keen/passionate advocate of using 100% wool.
