Police blocking Blackpool Road during Boxing Day Pic: Blog Preston

A crash shut a busy Preston road during lunchtime on Boxing Day.

Preston Police closed off Blackpool Road between Inkerman Street and Brook Street junctions in Ashton-on-Ribble.

Emergency services were called to a two-car crash at 1.20pm on Thursday 26 December.

The crash involved a Toyota Prius and Mazda sports car.

Three people were injured in the crash.

Blackpool Road was closed for around an hour-and-a-half while emergency services worked at the scene.
