The College GameDay legend was at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California with the rest of the crew.
Pat McAfee was joined by Nick Saban, Kirk Herbstreit, Rece Davis and Desmond Howard on set.
While Corso came in for sporadic appearances during the three-hour build-up to the day’s first CFP showdown.
And those segments were enough to worry viewers, who flocked to social media to comment.
“Lee Corso might have to retire soon he looks bad,” one said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Lee Corso looks worse every week should he really be out there,” another wrote.
A third posted, “Lee Corso is 1 year shy of 90 years old and is out there every weekend doing college game day. God bless him.”
While a fourth said, “Watching Lee Corso is awkward and disturbing.”
Corso has missed a number of weeks on College GameDay this season with health problems.
He has been with the program ever since it began in 1987.
Corso joined his crew mates for special edition of the show Wednesday.
It usually airs Saturday mornings during the regular-season.
But the team were broadcasting ahead of the last three CFP quarterfinals Wednesday.
They came on air at 10 am ET and stayed on right until the game between Texas and Arizona State at 1 pm ET.
That Peach Bowl in Atlanta, Georgia was followed by the Rose Bowl, where College GameDay broadcast from.
How the 12-team CFP works
The first ever 12-team College Football Playoff kicks off on Friday, December 20.
But who will get in?
The highest four ranked conference champions will all be guaranteed a first-round bye into the quarterfinals around New Year.
The fifth highest ranked conference champion will also be assured a place, regardless of if they’re ranked in the top 12 teams in the nation.
That ensures a champion from one of the second tier of conferences will get a chance to play for the national championship.
Teams seeded five through eight will host a first round playoff game on Friday, 20 or Saturday 21 December.
And they will go up against the teams seeded nine through 12.
All of these rankings and seedings are decided by the CFP committee – based on record and strength of schedule among other factors.
This year’s National Championship Game will take place on Monday, January 20 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
The game in Pasadena, California featured Ohio State against Oregon in a rematch of the Big Ten Championship game.
But the third game on Wednesday was postponed after a terror attack in New Orleans.
The city was due to stage the Sugar Bowl showdown between Notre Dame and Georgia.
That game was pushed back 24 hours after at least 10 people were killed when a driver rammed a pickup truck into crowds.
The first quarterfinal took place Tuesday night with Penn State beating Boise State.
