M6 delays at Junction 31 as two lanes shut due to crash

There are delays on the M6 northbound at Preston after a crash.

Preston Police are in attendance close to Junction 31 northbound of the M6.

Traffic England is reporting delays of up to 10 minutes on New Year’s Day evening traffic.

Two lanes are shut approaching Junction 31 for Samlesbury. The crash took place around 5pm.

Delays are expected until at least 7pm on Wednesday (1 January).

The crash is causing delays back to Junction 29 and onto the M61 spur northbound from Bamber Bridge.
