A sliproad on the motorway to the east of Preston is closed due to stranded vehicles.
Heavy snow fell overnight and an amber warning for snow is in place until midnight tonight (5 January) stating that disruption can be expected across the region throughout Sunday.
The exit sliproad on the M65 eastbound at junction 5 for Blackburn is closed due to a broken down vehicle and a number of other vehicles becoming stranded as a result.

A spokesperson for National Highways: North West said: “National Highways Traffic Officers are on scene. Please allow extra time for your journey.”
Elsewhere, there are issues on the M6 and M55 junction at Broughton due to an earlier crash and power cuts in areas of rural Preston.
