After Mahomes made it into the end zone he was wrapped up by a defender and thrown to the ground.

His Chiefs teammates weren’t fond of that move and sprinted to defend him.

Travis Kelce was one of those teammates who quickly came to the defense of Mahomes.

He ran down the field and got in the face of the Bills defender that hit Mahomes.

“Kelce came over and said ‘what’s up with that?’” announcer Jim Nantz said.

The Chiefs players arriving on the scene caused more Bills players to run into action and eventually there was a small scuffle on the field.

That scuffle resulted in a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that the Chiefs enforced on the ensuing kickoff.

The scuffle was eventually cleared and the game continued without a hitch.

NFL fans weren’t thrilled with what went down though, as many felt Kelce should’ve been flagged as well for taunting.

Those fans shared their thoughts about the officiating on social media.

“Back to back weeks Kelce doesn’t get called for taunting,” one fan said.

“Don’t call the taunting penalty,” another fan said.

“KC owns the refs. Going on years,” a third fan said.

“Looks like taunting to me,” a fourth fan said.

“No flag on Kelce but he flops and it’s instantly thrown,” a fifth fan said.

The Chiefs would go on to win the AFC Championship after the tense moment early in the game.

With a final score of 32-29, the Chiefs are returning to the Super Bowl with a chance to become the first ever team to threepeat.

They will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in the big game.
