Groups helping people find a way through dementia came together for a festive party in the run up to Christmas.
Preston Guild Rotary Club in conjunction with the organisation “Rosemary & Time”, which takes place in Grimsargh, supported local dementia sufferers and their carers.
On 13th December, the recent event invited more than 80 people to Grimsargh Village Hall.

The guests were also primarily from the other two local dementia clubs including the Laughter and Lunch group from Longridge and the Blue Flamingo group from Ashton-On-Ribble.
Preston Guild Rotary provided a Christmas-themed buffet and financed two professional musicians to play in support of the Christmas carols.
The club also organised a free tombola with delightful prizes for all attendees. Volunteers also helped the club clean up and led the carol singing.
Principal Rotary organisers Barbara & Claire said they were: “We are so happy the Rotary sponsored event was such a great success.”
The event brought people together and brought back happy memories, especially through singing that are often lost with dementia.
The Preston Rotary Club of Preston Guild meet at the UCLan Scholars bar and restaurant at 7:15am on Fridays in time for a cooked breakfast and a club meeting.
They are open to new club members. You can come along on Fridays, and you will be made welcome.
