The bodies of two men aged in their 60s have been recovered after their light plane crashed in NSW.
A recovery operation restarted this morning after the microlight crashed in the sea off the NSW Mid North Coast, about 1.5 kilometres south-east of Nambucca Heads, at 4pm yesterday.
The pilot and passenger, aged 67 and 69, died in the crash, NSW chief inspector Stuart Campbell told media.

One body was recovered from the plane yesterday and a second body was located today.
Emergency services including water police, the Westpac Rescue helicopter and other marine-based crews responded after witnesses spotted the light plane crashing into the ocean.
It took off from a private airstrip in Coffs Harbour about 3.30pm yesterday, with two men on board.
Campbell said the men have been identified however could not give more details.

An operation to recover the aircraft wreckage from Scotts Head Beach continues.
"We're struggling with the tides and movement of the debris," Campbell said of the recovery mission.
"Small parts of debris have been washed up on the beach."

Police said an inquiry is now under way into the cause of the crash.
Officers from Mid North Coast Police District and Marine Area Command, along with the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB), are assisting in the investigation.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
