TEXAS Longhorns star Arch Manning has been predicted to be the 2025-26 Heisman Trophy winner.
The prediction comes as reports have circulated about Manning‘s work ethic and NFL scouts’ beliefs on the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning.

The 19-year-old Manning has plenty of expectations for the 2025-26 season and has reportedly been keeping active during the offseason[/caption]
The Longhorns will be handing the keys to Arch in the upcoming season after he was the backup to Quinn Ewers last campaign.
Manning is currently the betting favorite to win the Heisman Trophy.
According to a report by NFL Rookie Watch on X, Manning, who will turn 20 in April, has put an “insane amount of work to prepare for next season.”
The same report added that he “watches more film than any other player on the Texas roster” and works harder than anyone in the weight room too.
If Manning does indeed win the Heisman, numerous NFL scouts believe that he “will have to” enter the 2026 NFL Draft.
That will be the first year that Manning will be eligible to enter the professional ranks.
Manning could cause teams to pass on a quarterback in this year’s draft class in an attempt to obtain the No. 1 pick next year.
The 2025 NFL Draft class has a weaker signal-caller class than in years past.
Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward highlight the 2025 quarterback class, but there are question marks surrounding their skills.
Despite the fact they had good seasons, NFL scouts have concerns about Sanders’ and Wards’ abilities.
Sanders has below-average arm strength and is relatively undersized, while Ward has questionable accuracy.
Still, the pair is expected to be among the top picks in April’s NFL Draft.
Manning only played a few games for Texas as a sophomore.
The youngster showed off his talents, both throwing the football and running with the rock and even caused fans to want him to start over Ewers.
Manning won’t be the only reason that teams could pass on a quarterback, however.
Outside of Manning, there will likely be multiple quarterbacks that could be a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Tennesee’s Nico Iamaleava, the Penn State product Drew Allar, Garrett Nussmeier out of LSU, and Clemson’s Cade Klubnick could be among the first 32 selections.
Nonetheless, Manning is set to be the next Longhorns QB1.
