The 2023 Super Bowl concluded with the Chiefs coming out on top in a close 38-35 finish.

However, the Eagles are a much better team now than they were two seasons ago.

With a beefed-up roster, the Eagles have an opportunity to get redemption for their 2023 loss to the Chiefs.

These key factors could contribute to the Eagles taking home their second Super Bowl title.

SAQUON BARKLEY

Saquon Barkley has been a revelation for the Eagles, completely transforming their offense.

Barkley had a spectacular regular season, rushing for 2,005 yards with 15 total touchdowns.

He led the NFL in touches, rushing yards, rushing yards per game, and scrimmage yards.

That special season culminated in him being named to the Pro Bowl and the All-Pro First Team.

Barkley has continued his incredible season in the playoffs, running all over his opponents in three games.

So far, Barkley has rushed for 442 yards with five touchdowns in his three postseason games.

He has yet to rush for under 100 yards in any of the team’s playoff games.

The Chiefs have proven to be vulnerable to the rushing game, allowing 85 yards and two touchdowns to Buffalo Bills running back James Cook.

Barkley will certainly have a similar or better statline against Kansas City in the Super Bowl.

TOP OFFENSIVE LINE

Saquon has been so productive this season partly due to the strength of the offensive line.

Even after losing Jason Kelce to retirement, the Eagles offensive line is still bullying opponents.

While the Eagles line is spectacular in pass protection, allowing 45 sacks over the course of the season, they excel in run protection.

Linemen like Jordan Mailata and Mekhi Becton excel at shedding their defenders and getting up the field to provide blocking for Barkley.

The Chiefs will be one of the toughest defenses the Eagles have faced all season, but they should be up for the task.

SUFFOCATING DEFENSE

The Eagles might be considered as the best defense in the NFL, and the nominations for year end awards only prove that.

Philadelphia has three nominees for defensive awards this season.

Zach Baun has been nominated for Defensive Player of the Year. He had a spectacular season as a linebacker, finishing with one interception, five forced fumbles, and 3.5 sacks.

He compiled 151 tackles on his way to a Pro Bowl and All-Pro selection.

Rookies Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean were both selected as nominees for Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Mitchell registered a whopping 12 pass deflections in his rookie season while DeJean had six pass deflections, 1 forced fumble, and half a sack.

As a whole, the Eagles led the NFL with the least total yards allowed per game with 278 and the least points allowed per game with 17.5.
