Donna Carey to mark being five years cancer-free has decided to raise funds for Coppafeel.

The 45-year-old, from Fulwood, will be trekking with her friends across the Isle of Skye, which is 100km of rough terrain, for the charity Coppafeel.

Coppafeel, a not-for-profit organisation, has the aim of ensuring young people are diagnosed early with breast cancer.

Her target is to help lots of people within the organisation and her target goal of £2,500.

But this isn’t the first charity event Donna has participated in.

In 2020, Donna donated over £2,500 to her JustGiving page and “braved the shave” for Rosemere Cancer Foundation.

At 39, Donna bravely endured “fantastic treatment ” despite the hardship of the pandemic. Now, she turns to fundraising to support others.

Donna, whilst planning future fundraising, said, “I’m thinking sponsored events, cake sales, quiz nights.”

She also is open to any sponsored event suggestions and is asking for anyone who knows of local businesses who may be able to donate raffle prizes.

Donations can be made for Donna’s CoppaFeel fundraiser via Justgiving.
