A woman from Grimsargh who is passionate about the benefits music can have on people has opened her very own music school in the village.
Nora Lord has opened the doors to Grimsargh Music Tuition, which she runs from a specially converted garden studio at her home.
Having grown up in a musical household, Nora, who has previously been a music teacher in schools, was keen to get the venture up and running.

She said: “I work in a care home and thought I would build a music room in my garden and start teaching again. I am teaching in the evenings and weekends and ultimately hope that I can get it into schools as well.”
Grimsargh Music Tuition will allows people to learn flute, saxophone, clarinet, recorder, piano, singing and theory of music. And Nora is passionate about the benefits learning and listening to music can bring.
She added: “Studying music uses a different part of your brain and can help with things like problem solving. Listening to music is also good for your soul and your mental health and is a really positive thing to do.”
