Once the largest Bus Station in Europe it’s been catching the eye of Preston photographer Joseph Gudgeon.
Joe said: “I am constantly drawn to Preston Bus Station. I never tire of capturing this brutal behemoth in all of its curvaceous splendour. It was futuristic looking when it first opened in 1969 and it still feels like the future today.”
He’s put together some of his favourite pictures of the Bus Station and its curved car park above.
Joseph also penned a poem to the Bus Station, which can you see below.
DIVIDER OF OPINION.
Divider of opinion,
Keeper of buses,
Your beauty is brutal,
You always enthral us.
You’re as ugly as sin,
Should be razed to the ground,
Divider of opinion,
Homeward bound.
