A Leyland pub says it wants to bring ‘big bands to the small town’.
The Railway in Preston Road is kicking off its new monthly night with a live performance from The Cassettes.
Paul from The Railway said: “Leyland has a vibrant and diverse live music scene thanks to pubs such as the Market Ale House, Indigo and The Dunkirk Hall to name but a few.
“At The Railway we’ve got a big pub that can accommodate big bands, and that’s what we’re doing every month from Saturday 1 March.”

The Cassettes are a four-piece British indie tribute band from Lancashire, playing hits by bands such as Oasis, Blur, The Smiths, Stone Roses, Shed Seven, Pulp and Arctic Monkeys.
The band has played venues across Lancashire including The Continental in Broadgate.
Paul added: “We’re expecting a busy night, so book in advance to avoid disappointment.
“We have more big bands and covers nights planned for later this year, so watch this space!”
Tickets are £3 in advance or £5 on the door, and can be booked via email at railwayleyland@gmail.com, The Railway’s Facebook page, or by popping in to the pub.
