
The Light Foundation in Preston are hosting their seventh annual interfaith Ramadan dinner next month.
The free evening is arranged for the non-Muslim community and includes a meal a and a night to connect with others.
In attendance will be special guest speaker, Shaykh Ibrahim Hussein, the Imam who was trapped in his Southport Mosque as it came under attack during the riots in July 2024.

On the theme of ‘The Importance of Community: Turning Strangers into Friends’, Shaykh will share his experiences of the night where he admitted fearing that rioters would ‘burn the place down’ with him inside.
They will also share information about how they believe fasting can ensure the unity and harmony of a society, leaving positive changes in communities.
The dinner will run from 5pm to 7:30pm on Thursday 6 March at the Quakers Friends Meeting House in St Georges Road, Deepdale.

Light Foundation encourages people from the Muslim community who wish to attend, to bring a non-Muslim friend, family member or colleague.
