Two major business and careers events are heading to the University of Central Lancashire this April.

Shout Connect is organising the North West Apprenticeship Expo 2025 and the Lancashire Business Expo 2025. Both events will be hosted at the Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre at the city’s university, with the apprenticeship expo taking place on Wednesday, 2 April, and the Business Expo on Friday, 4 April.

Following the successful transition to the university’s Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre in 2024, the venue’s state-of-the-art facilities and central location have proven ideal for accommodating the growing number of exhibitors and attendees.

The expansive sports halls will be transformed to host 150 exhibition stands for each event, welcoming more than 2,000 visitors on each day, eager to connect with businesses, educators, and professionals from across the region.

North West Apprenticeship and Careers Expo 2025

The apprenticeship expo continues to be a cornerstone event for aspiring apprentices, potential candidates and employers alike. This year’s event boasts major exhibitors including the University of Central Lancashire, BAE Systems, Preston College and James Hall.

With over 1500 attendees already registered, the event will provide invaluable networking and career opportunities for students, job seekers, and professionals. Many local schools have committed to bringing their Year 11 pupils, ensuring that young talent has direct access to potential career pathways.

Lancashire Business Expo 2025

As the largest B2B event in the region, the Lancashire Business Expo brings together a diverse range of industries and organisations. This year’s confirmed exhibitors include Barclays Bank, Bowker Motor Group, Chorley Borough Council, and Lancashire Constabulary.

The event will offer unparalleled opportunities for networking, business development, and knowledge sharing among Lancashire’s vibrant business community.

Ian Coupe, chief executive of Shout Connect, said: “We are excited to bring both the North West Apprenticeship Expo and Lancashire Business Expo back to UCLan’s Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre. The venue’s outstanding facilities allow us to deliver high-quality events that benefit both exhibitors and visitors. We look forward to welcoming everyone in April for what promises to be two fantastic events.”
