The University of Central Lancashire was host to a dance event last week aiming to raise awareness of violence against women and girls.
Held every year in February, The Creative Communities Group, based in Preston, take part in one of the largest mass movements of people in the world for the annual One Billion Rising event.
The aim is to demand an end to violence against women and girls, inspired by the statistic that one in three women across the world will be raped or beaten during their life.

He said: “I’d like to thank Russell Hogarth and the members of his Creative Communities Group for inviting me to the University of Central Lancashire to take part in today’s one billion rising event, to raise awareness of violence against women and girls.
