North East Regional DAB radio station, Frisk Radio, has announced its upcoming expansion into the Lancashire region.
Preston, Chorley and Blackpool are the three North-West areas where the radio station is expected to move.
Frisk Radio, which utilises music from the 90s, and 00s and is described as an “upbeat, dance-music focused station,” starts its expansion to the North West in early April.

The move towards Lancashire aligns with the motives of Frisk’s parent company, Smart Outdoor Media. It comes from the desired new mass rollouts of digital out-of-home billboards.
Stuart Landreth, director of Frisk Radio said: “We are very excited to introduce the Frisk brand to Lancashire.
“Our rapid growth and success in the North East has shown there is a clear demand for an upbeat, dance music focussed station in local markets.”
In addition, Mark Catteral, CEO of Smart Outdoor Media said the company has a “growing footprint across Lancashire” showing its immense support and success within recent years.
