Preston-born Nick Park took home two awards at The British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAS) thanks to his contribution to the latest critically-acclaimed Wallace & Gromit film.
The awards, hosted by David Tennant, took place on February 16 and Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl won the Animated Film and Children’s and Family film categories.
Nick Park, Merlin Crossingham and Richard Beek appeared on stage during their first win, presented by US singer Camila Cabello, which was in the children’s and family category.

In his acceptance speech, Nick thanked the team for all their hard work.
He said: “It’s such a wonderful privilege to be working at Aardman every day with such obscenely talented artists and crafts people so passionate about creativity and we’re so lucky to have our fabulous cast.”
The children and family film category is new for 2025 and recognises the best films that appeal to children, young people, and adults.
After airing on Christmas Day, Vengeance Most Fowl has reached 21.6 million people overtaking Gavin and Stacey as the most watched Christmas Day special.

It features the return of the villainous penguin Feathers McGraw from The Wrong Trousers, who takes revenge on Wallace and Gromit by reprogramming their robotic garden gnome.
Nick has multiple credits on Vengeance Most Fowl, including co-director and executive producer.
The film, now award-winning, is also nominated for an Oscar.
Nick is coming to town on Thursday to open the new Animate complex where a new Wallace and Gromit-themed statue will also be unveiled.
