St Catherine’s Hospice which is based in Lostock Hall has won a prestigious award for their grounds.
The centre cares for patients and families across Chorley, Preston and South Ribble who are affected by life-shortening conditions such as cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure.
The garden volunteers scooped a top award at the RHS Britain In Bloom North West Awards at the end of last year.

They were named Best Hospice Grounds and achieved the prestigious Level 5 Outstanding award.
A spokesperson for the Hospice said: “It wouldn’t have been possible without Marshall and our amazing volunteers who pour their time, love, and green-thumb expertise into St Catherine’s Park.
“By generously donating their time, people like Andrew and Andy make our grounds not just beautiful, but a haven for patients, families, and the community to enjoy.”
