Two people seriously injured in rural road crash between Longridge and Ribchester

Two people are in hospital with serious injuries after a crash between Longridge and Ribchester.

Emergency services were scrambled to Hothersall Lane near to the Corporation Arms turn during Tuesday (4 February) morning.

Lancashire Police said they were called at 6.23am to reports of a crash.

A van and a car were involved in a collision.

A police spokesperson said two people had serious injuries and were taken to hospital.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service are understood to have also attended the crash.

Hothersall Lane remains closed to traffic with diversions in place as of Tuesday lunchtime.

No arrests have been made and anyone who witnessed the crash or who has information is asked to call police on 101 quoting log 0165 of 4 February
