SCOTTIE Pippen is not your typical ex-NBA superstar.

The former Chicago Bull, 59, won six championships alongside Michael Jordan during the 1990s.

Pippen, now 59, played a key role in the Chicago Bulls’ dynasty with Michael Jordan[/caption]

Pippen was an integral member of Phil Jackson’s squad, with Jordan himself having described him as his “greatest teammate of all time”.

The small forward infamously signed a seven-year, $18 million contract in 1991, a low figure for someone who went on to be named as one of the NBA‘s 75 greatest players of all time.

Despite the Bulls tying him to that bargain deal for much of his prime, Pippen did go on to earn $110m in salary from his NBA career.

Following Jordan’s second retirement, the Bulls traded Pippen to the Houston Rockets.

The seven-time All-Star then spent four seasons in Portland, before retiring following a brief return to Chicago.

After calling it a day, Pippen bought a livestock farm in Hamburg, Arkansas alongside his brother Billy.

The NBA icon has been pictured getting his hands dirty on the farm.

He and Billy suffered a scare in 2018 when two tractors worth more than $50,000 were robbed from the farm.

The duo were said to have offered a $2,500 reward for information, but it’s not clear if the perpetrators were ever caught or the tractors returned.

In a more conventional post-NBA role, Pippen has worked as a basketball analyst for ESPN.

But more recently he appears to have delved into the world of crypto and AI.

Last year he raised eyebrows by posting a bizarre AI-generated image of Elon Musk wearing a Chicago Bulls jersey.

Pipped captioned the strange creation, “How many championships would we have won with @ElonMusk?”

The former NBA icon has since posted several more odd pictures, using subsequent attention to draw eyeballs onto his crypto projects.

‘I HAD A DREAM’

Another post referencing the pseudonym given to the developers of Bitcoin bizarrely read, “I had a dream I met Satoshi Nakamoto last night.

“He didn’t see me as another player. Instead, Satoshi was proud that I was opening a new lane for RWA in the crypto market.”

The Chicago Bulls icon’s son Scotty Pippen Jr has carved out an impressive NBA career for himself.

Having gone undrafted in 2022, Pippen Jr signed a two-way deal with LeBron JamesLos Angeles Lakers.

The 6ft 1in point guard was waived in October 2023 following just six games for the Lakers, but subsequently signed for the Memphis Grizzlies amid their injury struggles.

Pippen Jr has since managed to earn regular minutes backing up Ja Morant in Memphis, averaging nine points, four assists and three rebounds in 20 minutes per game this season.
