PATRICK Mahomes has reportedly gotten much-needed offensive line support as the 2025 NFL free agency approaches on Tuesday.

On Monday, the Kansas City Chiefs agreed to a two-year, $30 million contract with former San Francisco 49ers offensive lineman Jaylon Moore, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Moore played all four NFL seasons with the 49ers and spent most of his time as a backup.
The 2021 fifth-round pick has made 12 starts over that time – five of them coming during last season when left tackle stalwart Trent Williams was injured.
Kansas City used four players, Wanya Morris, Kingley Suamataia, D.J. Humphries, and Joe Thuney, at left tackle during their 2024 AFC Champion season.
Suamataia started the first two games before being benched for Morris.
Then, Morris was benched late in the season in favor of the veteran Humphries.
The Chiefs finished the campaign by moving Thuney to left tackle.
Last week, the franchise traded the All-Pro lineman Thuney to the Chicago Bears.
So it seems that Monday’s move means that Moore could be the team’s solution for the position.
Chiefs fans reacted to the signing on X.
“Well alright, alright, alright… @chiefs,” one wrote.
“Congratulations and well deserved Jaylon! Let’s get it!” another commented.
“This is an upgrade,” a third added.
“That’s a big move,” a fourth stated.
The signing comes after Mahomes and the Chiefs allowed six sacks to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59.
On Sunday, Kansas City handed offensive guard Trey Smith the franchise tag.
They also re-signed linebacker Nick Bolton on the same day.
And the Chiefs reportedly signed backup running back Elijah Mitchell on Monday.
All of the deals will be official on March 12.
