Preston Harriers celebrate a remarkable nine-month success

Preston Harriers, an athletics club in Preston have recently reflected on their extraordinary nine-month success rate. 

In early March 2025, Preston Harriers Under 13 boys were crowned national cross-country champions in London- the most significant achievement in the club’s history.

The event took place on February 22, at Parliament Hill Fields, London with four boys crowned champions.

The boys at Preston Harriers have had a “clean sweep” over the years and not only secured their recent title but also triumphed in the National Cross Country Relay Title and the Northern Athletics Cross Country Championships.

Brothers Matthew and Myles Frazer represented England at the Home Countries International where both first place and third place were earned.

Harriers said this highlighted: “their individual talents and underscored the strength and dedication they bring as a duo.”

The Preston Harrier’s girl team has also shown great success in the past nine months.

Last August, Jemma McMaster, Dottie Alty, Eva Whiteside and Lois Meiling won the under-15 girls’ 300m National Championship.

Imogen King won two awards, with a gold medal in the Northern and National Indoor 300m titles back in January.

Harriers said her achievements will “inspire her teammates,” to too strive for excellence.

Preston Harriers said: “Thanks to the amazing coaches at Preston Harriers who volunteer their time ensuring that the young people reach their potential.

“Congratulations to everyone involved in this remarkable journey!”
