A pub in Preston is back open after a £213,000 revamp.

The Ribble Lodge, in Ribbleton Avenue reopened the doors on Thursday 13 March after they closed in early February this year.

Rebecca Lyons, described as a ‘passionate operator and community hero’, will be behind the bar.

Over the last 15 years she has worked her way through the ranks of the hospitality industry and has been working in the pub for 18 months.

She said: “I’ve loved my time at the Ribble Lodge so far and I’m really looking forward to reopening the pub next week and showing off its brand new look to all our customers, both new and old. 

“It’s been amazing to see the vision come to life and I am extremely grateful to Proper Pubs for all their support throughout this journey. Bring on the next chapter!”

Inside, The Ribble Lodge has been completely transformed to have a more spacious, open plan feel. 

There is new furniture, flooring and a games room with two new pool tables and a dart board. As part of the refurbishment, the function room, which holds up to 120 people, has received a makeover as well as the two beer gardens.

The pub will reopened at 5pm on Thursday with a live performance from Peter Hague followed by a full weekend of music and DJ sets. There was also a street food van on site.
