The shopper was completely blindsided and forced to surrender control of their self-checkout kiosk per the Daily Mail.

This was because they had apparently gone over the 20 items limit, but there isn’t one advertised in that specific store.

But this isn’t a formal rule, and is decided by the manager on the spot.

The shopper said: “My store doesn’t have a posted item limit, so I figured it was okay.”

Instead, they were taken over by the employee who remarked about the limit while fixing the problem.

The event was recounted on the social media platform Reddit.

It is not known at what Costco this took place.

Considering that the store is known for being one where you buy in bulk, this limit seemingly goes against this.

CONTROVERISAL CHANGES

Costco has made a few changes recently that have stoked the fury of its customers, as reported by The US Sun.

Two customers took to X to complain about the changes to the food court, specifically the muffins.

Fans believe that the alterations have made them smaller and less tasty, and they also don’t like the higher cost.

One person said on March 9: ” @Costco what did you do to your muffins. Less muffins, more money, and they taste terrible.

“Bring back the the old muffins please.”

A second unhappy customer then wrote on Sunday: “Even if they have to be small, we need our chocolate chip, double chocolate and holiday cranberry!!!!!”

The store has also made an unwelcome change to its smoothies.

The new Strawberry Banana Smoothie is now selling at Costco for under $3, but fans want the original fruit smoothie back.

A post showcasing the new addition to the food courts was hit with negativity.

One person commented: “Everyone knows that the strawberry one is a way better.”

A second person added: “The strawberry without the banana is much better.”

And a third Costco customer wrote: “They have pineapple now too. Sucks for those with allergies.”
