If you’re a student in Montreal searching for a solid summer job, the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is hiring for 2025.
These May-to-August positions are open to full-time students, offering hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. With some roles paying over $27 an hour, it’s a great way to gain valuable skills while making serious cash.

The role requires Excel proficiency (SAP is a plus) and offers a 35-hour workweek, telework options, and free STM transit.

Attendant
This opportunity allows accounting students to earn $29.65/hour for a 15-week term from May 19 to August 29, 2025.
Responsibilities include processing invoices, validating supplier payments, identifying billing discrepancies, and managing administrative transactions. The role requires attention to detail, organization, and knowledge of invoice processing (SAP is a plus). It’s a 35-hour/week position based at Place Bonaventure, with telework options and free STM transit. Applicants must be 16+, have a DEP in accounting or one year of related studies, and be full-time students this winter.

Maintenance attendant
The maintenance attendant role is a 10 to 12-week summer position that pays $32.22/hour.
Students will work in either the metro or bus network, cleaning subway cars, stations, buses, and transportation centers. Duties may include washing vehicles, cleaning platforms, emptying trash bins, and handling customer inquiries. Some roles require driving buses to cleaning stations, and STM provides vehicle operation and safety training.
Shifts are variable, covering day, evening, and night schedules. Applicants must be 16+, full-time students in winter 2025, hold a DES or DEP, have a valid Class 5 driver’s license with two years of experience, and pass a medical and drug test.

The STM is seeking students for a 10-week summer station agent position. The role pays $28.95/hour, running from May 18 to August 24, 2025.
Station agents assist customers by selling and exchanging tickets, providing directions, ensuring safety, and monitoring metro stations. Responsibilities also include opening and closing stations, operating escalators, and reporting equipment issues. Applicants must be 16+, full-time students in winter 2025, have a DES or DEP, and have customer service experience handling cash.
Shifts are variable between 4:35 am and 1:15 am, requiring early-morning, late-night, and weekend availabilities. The role includes a three-week paid training period starting May 18.
