Two Preston mums have designed their own Mother’s Day products which are being sold globally in Lush.

Chloe Dudek and Klaire Sutcliffe-Campo, Lush Preston employees, designed two exclusive products for this year’s Lush Mother’s Day collection as part of the company’s Co-Create initiative.

Chloe is part of the Family Support community at Lush, she moved to Preston nine years ago. Chloe created the ‘Edamummy Bean bath bomb’.

She said: “My mum always says that myself and my daughters are like ‘peas in a pod’ and I’ve always loved that saying! It’s also quite fitting for when you become a parent for the first time.

“You have a lovely squishy newborn baby, but you’re also a newborn parent and you’re both navigating this whole new world together in your little bubble or pea pod. It’s one of the most beautiful feelings I’ve ever felt.”

Klaire Sutcliffe-Campo who has lived in Preston for 13 years created the fresh bakery scented, ‘Cinnamum Melt,’ which can be used as a bath melt or home fragrance.

Klaire added: “My son loves cake and baking. We love to experiment and most of my bakes are based more on taste than presentation!

“However, Mummy knows where the best cafes are. Cinnamon rolls are our favourite and it’s how we came up with Cinnamum!”

To see their designs become a reality, the two mums visited the Lush Factory in Dorset to work alongside the brand manufacturers and have an on-site tour.

Lush’s Co-Create initiative is a global product creation internship for Lush seasonal ranges, to lift authentic stories from their respective communities, promoting diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging.

Klaire said: “Without sounding soppy, becoming a mum has been both a hard job but an absolute joy and a privileged job too. My son, Alex, reminds me each day of how to learn and grow. I wanted to be part of the Co-Create to be part of a collection that celebrates mothers and mother figures.”
