
Police are searching for a man after a woman was assaulted and robbed in the St Matthews area of the city.
A picture has been released after reports of a robbery in Deepdale Mill Street on Monday 3 March.
The attack and theft took place around 9.50pm and money was taken from the woman, who is in her 40s, involved.

A police spokesperson said: “Do you recognise this man?
“A woman was assaulted and had some money stolen from her.
“We know that this picture isn’t of the best quality, but if you recognise him, or have any information that could assist our enquiries, please contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting log 1372 of 3 March.
The area is closed to where a new Public Space Protection Order is currently being consulted on by the city council – aimed at curbing anti-social behaviour, violence and other criminal activity.
