The Great British Spring Clean is a nationwide event that encourages communities to take action to work towards a cleaner environment.

It was done in the spirit of seva, a selfless service and aligns with the organisation’s values of service, respect and unity.

Volunteer Shiv Patel from BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Preston, said: “Seva is at the heart of what we do, and today’s clean-up was a wonderful way to bring people together for a common cause.

“We are grateful to all the volunteers and the local community for their support, and to the Mayor of Preston for joining us in this meaningful initiative.”
