Three Longridge businesses walked away with major accolades from the Ribble Valley Business Awards.
SO Plants, which is based at Little Town Dairy, was named ‘Independent Retailer of the Year’, while popular takeaway food and drink outlet Prepped, Berry Lane, won the ‘Food and Drink Business of the Year’ award.
Longridge Vets also enjoyed success with the ‘Customer Friendly Business of the Year’ Award.

For SO Plants owner Michelle Unsworth, the win was vindication of her focus on putting the customer first since she started the business in 2017.
She said: “I set the business up from nothing and originally had a little shed and it has grown to now encompass three sheds and two polytunnels. It has always been about customer service for me, so to win something like this is really special.”

Prepped has been run by Graeme and Becky Haworth for the past two years and has gone from strength to strength.
Announcing the win on the Prepped Instagram page, they said: “Hugely grateful and thankful for the recognition, and to our customers, we wouldn’t have a business without your support.”

Longridge Vets won for its standard of customer service. The practice hit the headlines last year when the team went above and beyond to save the life of Labrador puppy, Mapel, when they performed open heart surgery on the vulnerable pet pooch.
