A bullet pierced the window of a Sydney home, a kilometre away from a drive-by shooting in the next suburb over.
A 28-year-old man was standing on Wilga Street in Marsfield when a spray of bullets was fired at him from a car at 1 am.
The man was not injured, however, stray bullets hit nearby houses.

Footage obtained by 9News captured the moment the getaway car, a BMW, exploded in a fireball at Girraween.
Firecrews quickly extinguished the burning car.
The intended victim of the shooting, the 28-year-old, was seen arriving at Wilga Place in a white Mercedes just before 1am, moments before shots were fired.

The volley of bullets all missed their target, but struck a home on the street.
One of the bullets travelled one kilometre to North Ryde, where it pierced the bedroom window of a home, and narrowly missing those inside
That family who lives at the home remain terrified after the close call.
