Lancashire County Council’s days are numbered due to the Devolution deal which is in place and the direction of travel towards an elected Mayor – but these are crucial years ahead for Preston and Lancashire.

We’ve had extensive coverage of the local elections – from the intense hustings which saw issues debated by the five main parties, skulduggery from Reform and our seat profiles on the majority of the divisions up for election in and around Preston.

Our updates will load below (you may need to wait a minute to see them). We have updates from Ed Walker and Alice Jones at the Preston count, Jamie Lopez will be deep in Ribble Valley and we’ll be relying on the superb Paul Faulkner, Local Democracy Reporter, who is due to be at South Ribble.
