
A man has been charged as part of a historical sexual abuse investigation spanning offences over a 41 year period.
Lancashire Police say the offences relate to more than a dozen sexual offences against children and young women between 1983 and 2024.
The offences largely relate to the Penwortham and Leyland areas of South Ribble.

Stuart Williams, 58, of Moore Street, Blackpool, has been charged with 14 sexual offences.
These include an attempted rape, four counts of assault by penetration, two sexual assaults, three indecent assaults on a girl under 14, two counts of making an indecent photograph of a child and two counts of engaging in sexual communication with a child.
He is due to appear before Preston Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 19 June to face the charges.
